The Registered Nursing Associate in Science degree program at PCC prepares you to begin a career as a Registered Nurse. Our courses give you a strong foundation in nursing theory and concepts and practical experience to promote, maintain, and restore health in individuals with common and complex health problems.

What is a Registered Nurse (RN)?
Registered Nursing is among the top 10 occupations with the largest job growth (Bureau of Labor Statistics). RNs are responsible for providing and coordinating patient care. In doing so, they are typically responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a nursing care plan, and maintaining medical records. They are also trained to give patients advice on health maintenance and disease prevention. As an RN, you will be able to seek employment in hospitals, clinics, private physicians' offices, and skilled nursing in extended and long-term care facilities.
